CAN I UPDATE THE SHIPPING ADDRESS ON MY ORDER?

or give us a call ASAP. You will receive an email or a call back to confirm the change. This shouldn’t be a problem if weare notified immediately.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR ME TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?
Online orders typically ship within 5-10 business days to all 50 states and internationally. Special occasion and custom orders will take longer. We offer USPS Ground Advantage, Priority, and Express shipping options. Estimated delivery for Ground Advantage is 4-7 days after shipment, Priority 1-3 days, and Express 1-2 days. If you live internationally, your order will take longer to arrive. Priority International shipments are estimated to arrive within 6-10 business days depending on your location.
You will also receive an email when your order ships so you can track your shipment.
CAN I ORDER ONLINE AND PICK UP IN A STORE IN MY CITY?
No. If you would like a particular piece, please contact your local store to see if they have it in stock. Should they not have the piece in stock, your store can either order it from us directly or you can place your order on our website. Please allow for 2-4 weeks when ordering it directly through the store.
WHAT IF I’M PURCHASING TO SEND AS A GIFT?
When checking out, please be sure to let us now it’s a gift by choosing gift wrap at check out. In addition, if you’d like us to handwrite a sweet message to the recipient, you can include in the notes. Consider it done!
DO YOU SELL GIFT CARDS?
Yes! You can purchase a gift card here. We are happy to mail it gift wrapped or send a digital gift card. Be sure to click yes for gift wrap when checking out. If this gift card is for you, we agree that you’re worth it!
CAN I USE MY GIFT CARD ONLINE AND IN STORE?

DO YOU HAVE A STORE IN MY AREA WHERE I CAN SEE YOUR JEWELRY IN PERSON?
Hopefully! Please refer to our retailers page. Please note, our retailers page is not comprehensive so if you don’t see a store in your area, please suggest us to your favorite stores and also let us know by sending us an email through our contact form.
SHIPPING:
WHAT SHIPPING PROVIDER DO YOU USE?
We use the United States Postal Service and use Ground Advantage, Priority, Priority International, and Express Mail.
IS MY PACKAGE INSURED?
USPS includes $100 insurance for Ground Advantage, Priority, Priority International, and Express shipments. All orders $1000- $1499 are shipped USPS Priority with insurance. Signature options are available during the checkout progress. Orders with a value $1500 or more will ship UPS or FedEx Ground, uninsured, and require a signature. We will reach out to you prior to shipping your order to confirm shipping details.
Please make sure that your order is shipping to a secure location, or opt to require a signature. Once the package has been delivered to the correct location we cannot be responsible for lost or stolen packages.
DO YOU OFFER EXPEDITED SHIPPING SERVICE?
Yes. When checking out, there will be an option for USPS Express Mail which will arrive within 2 business days to all 50 states (excluding Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico). Please note: We are unable to ship on holidays or days that the post office is closed, and cannot be responsible for delays in the mail stream due to circumstances beyond our control. If your order is a gift or needed by a special occasion, we recommend placing your orders 5 business days before the important date.
HOW LONG WILL MY SPECIAL OCCASION BAND TAKE TO SHIP?
Please expect 1-6 weeks for your Special Occasion Band. However, if you absolutely need it by a specific date, we will always do our best to accommodate you. Please note that during busy times of year, it is more challenging to work within smaller windows of time.
HOW LONG WILL MY CUSTOM ORDER TAKE TO SHIP?
Please allow your order to take 1-3 weeks to complete. We strive to make your piece as quickly as possible because we are just as excited as you to see the finished piece.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:
DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
Yes, international orders ship USPS Priority International.International orders are expected to arrive within 6-10 business days once a package ships; however, it can take longer depending on your location and customs. Please note that we cannot guarantee a specific delivery date.
IS MY INTERNATIONAL ORDER TRACKABLE?
Most international orders include tracking information, though it is not updated as regularly as USPS domestic shipments. There is no guarantee that tracking information will remain up-to-date as the package travels to your destination.
AM I RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING CUSTOMS FEES WHEN MY ORDER ARRIVES?
Yes. Customs and import duties vary from country to country and are therefore the buyer's responsibility.
PRODUCT INFORMATION:
IS YOUR JEWELRY HYPOALLERGENIC?
Yes. All of our jewelry is hypoallergenic. If you are allergic to sterling silver or 14k gold, you might have a reaction. In all the years we’ve been making jewelry, we have had less than a handful of people react to our materials.
WHAT IS 14K GOLD-FILL?
14k gold-filled jewelry has a thick layer of 14k gold that’s been pressure bonded to jeweler’s brass. Gold-filled shouldn’t be confused with gold-plated. The 14k gold layer on gold-fill jewelry is hardy, and makes for a stunning, hypoallergenic, and affordable alternative to solid, silver, or gold-plated jewelry. I ONLY WEAR SOLID 14K GOLD JEWELRY, CAN I WEAR YOUR JEWELRY?
Great news - we can make any of our pieces with solid 14k gold in place of the 14k gold-fill. Please send us a note in our contact form and we’ll be happy to get you a price quote within 3-5 business days.
WHERE IS CMD JEWELRY DESIGNED AND PRODUCED?
All CMD jewelry is designed in Asbury Park, New Jersey and handmade with love in our Upstate New York production studio.
WHY DO YOU USE LAB-CREATED DIAMONDS IN YOUR DESIGNS?
Here at CMD, we are attracted to the value and the above-ground origins of lab-created diamonds. With the high standard in quality, lab-created diamonds are identical to natural diamonds by every measure–right down to the molecules. They have the exact same chemical composition, unsurpassed strength and beautiful optical qualities.
CAN YOU ENGRAVE A MESSAGE ON THE INSIDE OF MY SPECIAL OCCASION PIECE?
Yes! We work with a local engraver and are more than happy to put a special message or initials on your jewelry. When placing the order, please let us know the exact message and any specifics and we’ll get you a price quote. The engraving fees usually range from $75-$150, depending on the length of the message.
I HAVE AN HEIRLOOM DIAMOND THAT I WOULD LIKE TO USE IN A DESIGN – CAN YOU USE MY DIAMOND IN YOUR DESIGN?
Currently, we only work with lab-created diamonds that we have purchased from a certified vendor.
CAN YOU REDESIGN MY WEDDING BAND?
At this time, we do not offer this service. However, we can offer a consultation to suggest rings that would work with your existing wedding band.
DO YOU DESIGN CUSTOM ENGAGEMENT RINGS?
We design modern, non-traditional engagement rings. We don’t currently have any traditional solitaire designs in our collection. Be sure to get on the list to be informed whenever we expand our special occasion collection. Or, book an appointment to work together to create something extra special just for you.
I HAVE A DESIGN IDEA, WILL YOU CREATE CUSTOM DESIGN FOR ME?

SIZING:
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT MY RING SIZE IS?
Unsure of your ring size? No problem! Our Adjustable Plastic Finger Gauges are an economical solution if you want a general idea of your ring size, but aren’t able to get an in-person experience. Our multi-size, adjustable finger gauges measure sizes 1-17, including half-increments.
WHAT IS A RING SIZING KIT?
Want to order a ring, but unsure of your size? Order a Ring Sizing Kit online before you make a purchase! When a sizing kit is available, we're happy to send you one to help you figure out your size. Each sizing kit contains three different sizes so if you are sized at a size 7, we will send you a 6.5, 7.0 and 7.5. After using the kit, return it within 3 business days and we’ll refund your $150, or apply it to your next purchase. Read more about our Ring Sizing Kits HERE. They are available in both our SQUARE, and ROUND signature CMD ring shapes.
I ORDERED A RING AND IT DOESN’T FIT – CAN I GET A DIFFERENT SIZE?

CAN YOU RESIZE MY RING?
If you have purchased a ring from CMD and it’s already been worn, we can stretch your ring to be slightly larger (½ a size maximum), but we are unable to make your ring smaller. Because of the unique shapes of our rings, resizing takes away from the integrity and form of the ring. If you recently purchased a set or an individual ring, be sure to contact us so we can get you the right size. Please be sure to keep the ring unworn and in the original packaging.
DOES A STACK RING SET FIT THE SAME AS AN INDIVIDUAL RING?
No. With our stack ring sets, you should size up. Most of our customers go a half size larger than their normal ring size. So, if you’re a size 7.0, you’ll likely be a size 7.5 in our stack sets.
I ORDERED A BRACELET AND IT DOESN’T FIT – CAN I GET A DIFFERENT SIZE?
Yes. Our bracelets come in Small, Medium and Large and we would be happy to exchange an item. Please contact us by emailing showroom@colleenmauerdesigns.com, or calling/texting us at +1(415) 637.7762 so we can give further instructions.
WILL AN INTERLOCKING BANGLE SET FIT THE SAME AS INDIVIDUAL BANGLE?
Yes. Our interlocking bangle sets run a little smaller than our individual bangles. If you have extremely small hand and wrist, you are likely a size SMALL. If you have larger hands and wrist, you are likely a size LARGE. Most people fit into a size MEDIUM.
DO YOU HAVE DIFFERENT SIZES FOR CUFF BRACELETS?
Yes the cuffs come in different sizes but medium fits most. If the cuff is way too big or way too small, we are happy to exchange it. Please let us know through our contact form.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES:
WHAT IS YOUR RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY?
If you are, for any reason, unhappy with an item that you have purchased from Colleen Mauer Designs, you may return or exchange it within 14 days of receipt for a either a full refund, or store credit toward a new piece. The piece must remain unworn and in the original packaging, and show no signs of wear.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO PROCESS MY RETURN?
Once we receive your return, you will be notified via email by someone on our team. Please allow 3-5 business days for your return to be processed at our shop. From there, it will take around 7-12 business days for your bank to post the refund to your account. Your refund will be credited to the same credit card used to make the original purchase.
I PURCHASED A CMD PIECE IN ANOTHER STORE, WHAT IS YOUR RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY?
Products purchased through other CMD retailers must be returned or exchanged to the retailer and are subject to the retailer’s individual store policy.
IF I BUY A GIFT FOR SOMEONE AND THEY WANT TO RETURN OR EXCHANGE IT, HOW DO YOU HANDLE RETURNS/EXCHANGES?

DO YOU HAVE A DIFFERENT RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON?
Yes. To ease the stress of holiday shopping, any purchase made between December 1st and December 24th 2024 may be returned or exchanged by January 15th, 2025. The holiday return and exchange policy remains the same as our normal return and exchange policy.
I PURCHASED A CUSTOM PIECE. CAN I RETURN OR EXCHANGE IT?
All custom pieces are final sale. Please, no exceptions. Of course, we want you to be happy with your purchase, so please contact us to possibly tweak the final design to your liking.
REPAIRS AND PRODUCT CARE:
I LOVE MY NECKLACE, BUT THE CHAIN BROKE. CAN YOU FIX IT?
Yes! We are able to replace the chain of your necklace. For a regular length necklace, it’s $58 to replace a gold chain, $48 to replace a silver chain, and $54 to replace and oxidized (black) chain. For long necklaces, we charge an extra $10. Note, these prices refer to our necklaces in our regular 14k gold-fill collection. If you have a 14k solid gold chain, please contact us and we’ll get you a price quote to fix it.
I PURCHASED A PIECE FROM ANOTHER JEWELER AND IT BROKE, CAN YOU FIX IT?
We don’t repair jewelry unless we originally made it.
I LOST ONE OF MY CMD EARRINGS – CAN I PURCHASE JUST ONE EARRING REPLACEMENT?
Yes! We charge half the price of the cost of the entire pair. For example, if you pair is $248, we can make you an individual replacement for $124. Please note - our prices change regularly so this will be based on the current cost of the pair. Please contact us and we’ll send you more information on how to get a mate made for your earring.
MY OXIDIZED (BLACK) RINGS HAVE FADED – CAN YOU RE-OXIDIZE THEM?
Yes! We offer a free lifetime re-oxidizing services for our rings. Please note, oxidation lasts longer on some people than it does for others. Contact us and we’ll get you more information on the next steps. We offer an at-home re-oxidation kit for $8 if you’re feeling ambitious!
THE OXIDIZED (BLACK) COMPONENT OF MY NECKLACE, BRACELET OR EARRING HAS FADED – CAN YOU RE-OXIDIZE THEM?
Yes! We offer a free lifetime re-oxidizing services for all our jewelry. Please note, if the re-oxidation requires that the necklace is completely disassembled, there will be a charge of $15 to re-oxidize the piece. Most of our jewelry can be re-oxidized without disassembly.
MY EAR WIRE BROKE, CAN YOU FIX IT?
Yes! We can replace it for a minimal charge. A single silver ear wire is $5 and a single gold ear wire is $10. Please contact us and we’ll send you more information on the next steps.
MY POST FELL OFF MY EARRING, CAN YOU FIX IT?
Yes! We can fix it, free of charge. Please contact us and we’ll send you more information on the next steps.
I LOST THE METAL BACKINGS TO MY EARRINGS – CAN I BUY A PAIR?
Yes! A pair of silver are $2 and a pair of gold (classic or rose) are $3. Please contact us and we’ll get you a pair as soon as possible.
I LOST THE PLASTIC BACKINGS TO MY EARRINGS – CAN I BUY A PAIR?
We will give you an extra pair of plastic backings, free of charge.
MY CMD JEWELRY ISN’T QUITE AS SHINY AS IT USED TO BE – HOW DO I CLEAN IT?
We offer free lifetime cleaning on all of our jewelry so please contact us and we’ll give you more information on next steps. If you are a DIY kind of person, check out this blog for a great and easy way to clean jewelry in the comfort of your own home.
MY JEWELRY TARNISHED RATHER QUICKLY, ANY TIPS?
If you live in an area with a lot of humidity, jewelry tends to tarnish faster. When you’re not wearing your piece, be sure to store it in a bag or pouch to protect it from any moisture. Please also be sure to not store your jewelry in areas of your home that are susceptible to moisture, such as the bathroom.
CAN I SWIM/SHOWER IN MY JEWELRY?
We recommend that you never wear your CMD jewelry in chlorine, the ocean, or in the shower. However, if you do wear your jewelry in the shower, please be sure that your jewelry is completely dried afterwards to avoid tarnishing.
CAN I SLEEP IN MY JEWELRY?
We do not recommend that you sleep in your CMD jewelry. However, if you find it comfortable to sleep in it, do so at your own discretion.
