During the pandemic of 2020, I found myself slowing down more than I had in a very long time. I spent lots of time observing the night sky...staring in wonderment, thinking of all the vast and expansive galaxies. After many late-night backyard sessions, The Celestial Collection was born. This body of work started with a group of monotone hoops inspired by astrological forms and constellations.
