During this crazy time of year, I try to stop sometimes and just watch it all happening. The New York production team is making and shipping jewelry at record levels, and it just makes me so proud. The San Francisco sales team is working with all of our customers to make sure that their holiday dreams come true. They’re just amazing humans, and they make me feel so supported….all the time. I have personally had four offsite pop-ups and trunk shows where I’ve lugged my shiny goods to various stores and set up for the day. It’s so much going on all at once and, to be honest, it can be soooo exhausting (and exciting). What keeps me going, you might wonder? I look around and see that everyone’s working extra hard, no one’s complaining much, and it really feels like we’re all in this together. And at the end of my long days, I go home, throw on my jammies and sit in front of the fire and enjoy the twinkle of my white lights by my tree.
This time of year has different meanings and feelings for everyone…this I know. For anyone out there also hustlin’ this December, remember to take a moment and savor some of the magic. For anyone out there who also feels down or lonely this time of year, remember that you are loved and to be really good to yourself. For those of you who just turn into little bundles of happy energy this time of year, I want to thank you…for you’re the people who help keep us all smiling.
I hope those of you who are reading remember that this is part of the cycle of the year and it’s important to take time to enjoy it, even just for a moment. I’m gonna do that, too. Maybe an eggnog before bed tonight.
