I Love to Live by the Seaside

I Love to Live by the Seaside

As I close my eyes and think of the word “home,” I have a vivid image of the beach.  Growing up on the Jersey Shore meant sand was between my toes on a regular basis.  Salty air, crashing waves, screeching seagulls…these memories instantly conjure feelings of happiness, peacefulness and family.

Now my home is in the Outer Sunset neighborhood of San Francisco, meaning the Pacific Ocean is literally my backyard. Taking five minutes to step outside and breathe in smell of salty air is enough to transform a chaotic day into a very zen one. Whether you live by the ocean – or the mountains, the desert, the rolling plains – what little rituals get you through a hectic day?
