Just over a year ago my beautiful sister Shannon married the love of her life Dan. Congratulations on a year of wedded bliss! I was extremely honored to be a big part of their special day: they asked me to craft their wedding bands and all of Shannon’s bridal jewelry!
While the couple originally envisioned all white gold for their jewels, I gave them the CMD treatment and glammed things up by adding 18 karat gold (we all know how I love mixed metals!) The result was an ethereal, elegant look perfect for the gorgeous bride.
Shannon wore a stack of five wire bracelet and dainty-but-dramatic 3″ drop earrings with champagne-colored stones. She has always loved the stacked look so the mixed metal bracelets were simply perfect.
While creating the groom’s band I kept in mind a rugged vibe (an often untapped portion of my brain!) and designed something wearable for his easy, everyday style. The result was a wide, white gold hammered band. He loved the minimalistic, unique ring and even though he only had eyes for his bride, I caught him admiring his ring all throughout the evening!
It was truly spectacular to create such special pieces for two of my absolute favorite people. It’s such a joy to know they wear my jewelry everyday as a symbol of their commitment. In honor of their first anniversary I wanted to share this great story and remind my lovely readers that CMD is a great bridal resource. Keep us in mind when shopping for local, independent and handmade wedding jewelry!
