I can’t believe 13 years have passed since I started this little biz ‘o mine. This path has led me through many different places and geez louise, the time has absolutely flown by! Running a small business has so many facets and while it can be so rewarding, it can also be challenging at times. But, at the end of the day when I walk out of my shop, I look up at the CMD sign and feel so grateful because it reminds me of where I started and how far we’ve come as a group of women on two coasts (holy wow!).

I’m so thankful for you — our beautiful community that has supported us on this journey — for my family and friends who have been there since the very beginning and — for my amazing team… for showing up everyday and helping this business to flourish and travel lightly to the next chapters. I certainly feel like I won the employee jackpot! I can’t wait to see where we go next.

In gratitude,

Colleen's Signature

Friends, CMD’s 20th Anniversary Party is almost here and the nostalgia has really set in! I’ve been looking through old photos and reminiscing about CMD in the early days. That first leap of faith — saying yes to a studio I wasn’t sure I could afford — taught me something I’ve carried with me ever since: little risks open big doors. Every milestone CMD has reached since then has been built on that same  [...]
