We’re constantly inspired by other designers and manufacturers, and when we discover handcrafted goods made by local creatives right here in San Francisco, well…we usually have a fan girl moment. Case in point: Bryr Studio, located in the Dogpatch. Bryr creates one-of-a-kind clogs that are part European, part Californian, and completely captivating.
Bryr founder, Isobel, has become a close friend and somewhat unofficial colleague of CMD over time. As a San Franciscan (via England) who left a corporate design job in search of her own passion, she’s a gal after our own heart. Plus, we’re obsessed with the high quality, unique designs and ethical mindset of Bryr clogs. Navigating the waters of small business ownership can present unique challenges, and in SF we’re lucky to have a vibrant community of entrepreneurs who help one another along the way.

We put our heads together when we think about how we’ll bring the sketch on the yellow post-it to a finished object getting ready to ship out the door. Every decision is made [...]
