Living near the ocean has been a familiar theme throughout my life. Growing up on the east coast I was at the beach constantly. Vivid memories of the sand beneath my toes and crashing waves still make me beam. After spending time inland years later, I made my way to the Pacific.
Nowadays I spend my work hours in the bustling Mission district of San Francisco, home to the CMD headquarters. After embracing the joyful Mission chaos, my solace is the calm Outer Sunset — the perfect balance. Seeing the ocean from my home in the mornings and returning to the rolling waves is one of my greatest pleasures.
Daily life has always influenced the CMD aesthetic, and in many ways our interlocking bangles represent the endless flow that is the ocean. While they appear confined, they actually roll together on and on, a beautiful symbol that encompasses the awe-inspiring waves of the sea.
