If you’re a frequent reader of our blog, you know that creating fine, handmade jewelry right here in San Francisco is the beating heart of CMD. We’re so proud (and grateful!) for it all: watching our designs come alive; a rockstar staff; an amazing neighborhood filled to the brim with other local creatives—the list goes on. One of our greatest accomplishments of 2015 was acquiring our showroom: a dedicated CMD space where jewelry lines the tables, hearty succulents bliss out in the sun-drenched shop, and our favorite aprons hang by the door. While the location originally drew us to look at the space, it was the studio extension that really made us fall in love. It has always been our dream to have a combined workspace/shop where clients can walk in and watch their jewelry come to life, handcrafted with love before their very eyes. Each piece has its own story, and we absolutely love sharing the production process.
Have you visited our showroom? Join our mailing list to stay in-the-know on upcoming events. (Our Ring Bar happy hours are not to be missed.) We’re excited to announce our extended holiday hours are now here to stay, so you can shop in person Tuesday – Saturday from 11am—7pm and Sunday from 12pm—6pm. We are open by appointment on Mondays. After your next visit, let us know what you think about our dream space. We’d love to hear your thoughts!

Probably a little bit of fearless chaos, too. International Women’s Day is about honoring the journey — the girlhood, the awkward [...]
Lately, I’ve been reflecting on some of my favorite custom projects — the kind where memory, metal and meaning all collide. From heirloom diamonds and recycled gold to entirely bespoke wedding bands, these are the stories that remind me why I feel so called to this work... If you’ve been holding onto diamonds, want to recycle metal for [...]
When LP Giobbi asked me backstage at the Fox Theatre if I would design her and Chad’s wedding bands, I was absolutely floored. Floored in the “hold it together, Colleen” kind of way. Internally, I was doing cartwheels. If you’ve been here a while, you know that LP and I first connected through music and mutual admiration. What began as a soul-recognition [...]
